Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival

Presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society

The 32nd Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival 2026 will be held August 6-9th, 2026.

The festival takes place on the second weekend in August at San Benito County Historical Park, just south of Hollister.  There is a tree-filled, shady campground for tent camping and a spacious meadow for RVs. The weather in August is typically comfortably warm during the day, with nights that range from mild to cold.  The GOF is kid friendly, with a Kids on Stage program for budding bluegrass musicians and a wonderful volunteer-staffed crafts and activities corral next to the audience area.
Our largest event, the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, “GOF”, has been held each summer since 1994. It features three wonderful days of California bands on the main stage, as well as hot campground pickers on the side stage between main acts. The GOF is legendary among festival fans for both the quality and quantity of campground jamming.

Tickets will be available at the gate and can be paid for by cash, check or credit/debit card.

Camping is included with all multi-day tickets; no reservations are required.

The festival is completely free for children age 12 or under!

*The festival is free for children ages 13-17 with pre-festival registration to our “Kids Camp”

Thursday night pre-festival camping: $15 (per adult)

RV hookups are not available except for limited electrical for medical needs.

Campers with dogs are welcome in our special dog camping area 🐶

(We don’t allow dogs in the main audience area, but we do have a large shaded area behind the main audience where pet owners and pets can watch the show together!)
